Small Town
Garden, Worthing

Location: Worthing, West Sussex

Client: Private

Status: Completed

Project Type: Residential Garden

The client brief for this project was to create a pollinator-friendly garden, for a central Worthing town house. Previously the garden was a basic lawn with a garden studio next to it (Look below for more photographs). Our proposal brought together modern cottage garden planting with coastal flavour and a wildlife and ecologically minded plant palette. Structural shrubs offset the naturalistic planting palette. Native wildflowers along the garden fringe areas add more naturalistic and wilder look to the garden.

The scheme brought colour, interest and wildlife to a previously inert space around the studio. Bringing joy to our clients everyday walk to their everyday routine. Ecological enhancements like log piles and handmade poles for bees and other invertebrates would be added within the planting to create shelter spaces for the invertebrates and other wildlife.

“...the garden's looking good, lots of buzzing bees and pollinators.
